Sadie and Lee

I recently had the honour of photographing the wedding of Sadie and Lee. Their wonderful day took place on a clear winters morning at the stunning Falcon Manor in Settle. The bride, Sadie spent the morning with her bridesmaids enjoying the odd glass of bucks fizz. Meanwhile, Lee and his groomsmen along with Sadie and Lee's two boys arrived suited and booted ready to greet the guests and relax in the bar before the day got underway. On returning to the girls activity had stepped up a gear. Hair and make-up was done and Sadie's Mum was on hand to help Sadie with her final preparations and to get into her beautiful Lily and Louie bespoke gown. As the girls helped Sadie with her accessories the Father of the Bride was captured looking on with pride.

The ceremony room was beautifully decorated with elegant tones of gold and white. As always at Falcon Manor, there was a wonderful attention to detail and a wonderful sense of calm to the proceedings. As the big moment approached Lee took his place along with his bestman. Sadie and her Dad descended the beautiful wooden staircase and began their journey down the aisle. The look of anticipation was captured as he saw Sadie in her wedding dress for the first time.

In front of their friends and family Sadie and Lee said their vows and declared their love for each other.

Whilst the guests enjoyed a few drinks and the beautiful surroundings and lovely log fires in Falcon Manor, the couple and I took a walk around the grounds. Despite wearing a beautiful pair of high heeled LK Bennett shoes and a wedding dress Sadie volunteered to climb over a dry stone wall into a field of sheep in order for us to capture some beautiful Yorkshire countryside inspired wedding portraits. I can't thank Sadie enough for doing this as I love the photos the three of us created together and I hope that both Sadie and Lee will enjoy these photos for many years to come.

The couple and their guests then retired to the main room which had now been transformed into an elegant dinning room. Heartfelt speeches full of love and good natured banter followed. The room then settled in to enjoy a delicious menu.

The couple then cut their stunning wedding cake from Personal Iced and performed their first dance, surrounded by their friends and family.

After popping outside to take a couple of night time portraits of the newlyweds I then left the wedding party to enjoy the rest of their night.

It was a wonderful experience photographing this beautiful day. I hope that the memories I captured will help Sadie and Lee re-live their big day for many years to come.
